Callison Elementary School sixth grader, Payton Graves was honored as the Student of the Year at the November 2 VUSD Board Meeting.
Callison Principal, Kacey Ramos said of Payton.
“When considering a model student, Pay immediately comes to mind. She exemplifies thoughtfulness, diligence, kindness, and compassion. Furthermore, she consistently adheres to Callison's 5 B's, demonstrating her commitment to being an exemplary student. Pay exhibits unwavering dedication to her academic pursuits and confidently advocates for herself by maintaining open communication with her teachers. She consistently demonstrates responsibility by submitting every assignment with the utmost effort, earning her exceptional grades. Pay's enthusiasm and active engagement in various activities are evident, as she approaches them with a beaming smile on her face. She is an eager learner who genuinely enjoys her educational journey. Moreover, she consistently displays a positive outlook and attitude within the classroom environment. Pay continually strives to reach her full potential and remains devoted to giving her best effort. She actively seeks out new challenges to expand her horizons and takes complete ownership of her learning. We are immensely proud of Pay and eagerly anticipate witnessing her future accomplishments.”
