We proudly announce that Cheyenne Ingraffia is our 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year at Jean Callison Elementary School.
Cheyenne has infectious leadership, charisma, instructional strategies, and knowledge to support all students' educational journey. Her passion for learning is defined in her thought-provoking writing activities, social-emotional approach to learning, and enthusiasm that inspires her students to be the best students they can be.
"Cheyenne engages the sixth graders and the younger grades with lessons that foster good character traits, leadership, and ownership," said one of her colleagues.
She has made an impact on students, staff, and administration in a very positive light. Cheyenne thoroughly gets to know students' strengths and areas of growth and gets to understand their hearts. She is compassionate in nature and extends beyond the four walls of her classroom to build relationships with her students.
Cheyenne is an effective communicator to faculty and the parent community. Cheyenne follows through on all aspects of her job and is reliable. According to a peer, "Cheyenne always goes above and beyond by putting a lot of work for not only her class but for the sixth-grade classes. She makes learning fun, and her students love her. She is always so positive and does everything with a smile on her face."
In conclusion, Cheyenne is a leading educator in all facets of education. She deserves to be recognized for her commitment to her students' success. Her huge heart and compassion towards all educational partners are invaluable to Vacaville Unified.
